The School of Education, Communication and Society are looking for a Programme Officer to join our education team supporting teaching across the School.

The Programme Officer will support students and academic staff as the first point of contact for queries, whether face-to-face, via phone or electronic media. They are responsible for essential work to support the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and for ensuring that student lifecycle activities run smoothly, ensuring that our students and staff experience our services in a seamless and effective manner. With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer is a valued and trusted member of the team with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Institute (PSEI) aims to promote policy-related research on economic development of the Mainland and Hong Kong. It will synergise resources and expertise in the Mainland and Hong Kong to strengthen research on salient issues related to the economic and financial development of the two places. It will also provide research consultancy on industry and economic policies, in addition to offering policy advice to the authorities to foster mutual prosperity of the Mainland and Hong Kong.

The Institute is seeking an outstanding scholar with distinguished scholarly accomplishment in research, teaching and knowledge exchange in the field of policy-related research on economic development of the Mainland and Hong Kong. The appointee will be appointed as a Professor in the Department of Economics and concurrently as Director of the PSEI.

The Director of PSEI will be expected to (i) provide strategic direction and leadership for the operation of the Institute to ensure research quality and effectiveness; (ii) formulate and implement strategies for networking and building rapport with academia, business sector, industries and other related stakeholders; (iii) explore new collaboration opportunities with community partners and stakeholders and (iv) identify and secure funding opportunities through grants, partnerships and sponsorships to support the research projects/programmes and various activities of the Institute.

General Requirements

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Jindal School of Art and Architecture (JSAA) at the O.P. Jindal Global University, invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor (full time).

The JSAA seeks applicants who have their undergraduate coursework in any professionally accredited Animation or related program and registration in India or in their country of residence with a master’s or higher degrees in related fields. We are looking for candidates whose subsequent training has been multi-disciplinary, and one that creatively bridges creativity and application with a focus on 3D Animation, Visual Effects and Immersive Media. Ideally, the candidate should have 3-5 years of experience working in the Animation and VFX industry.

Candidates should have expertise and research interests in 3D Animation, Visual Effects, AR / VR / MR and use of industry standard software such as Maya, Blender, Unity, Unreal or comparable software. The candidate should also be familiar and comfortable with various software used for compositing. Additionally, knowledge of and understanding of basic of Game Design will be a plus. Ideal candidates will bring critical perspectives on the field with attention to environmental and other impacts.

Candidates would be expected to teach undergraduate theory and practical courses while also demonstrating a keen interest in developing coursework and contributing towards evolving the curriculum. Given the inter-disciplinary nature of pedagogical practices at the JSAA candidates will be expected to teach students from across various majors, and thus, develop coursework in a manner that highlights both the collaborative and inter-disciplinary nature of any practice. Further, candidates will be expected actively pursue research, critical practices and undertake institutional development.

Required Qualifications


	Master’s degree in 3D Animation, VFX, AR/VR/MR/XR or any allied field.
	Professional in the above-mentioned areas (minimum 2 to 4 years Assistant Professor / 5 to 7 years Associate Professor

The post will be based at St Thomas’ Hospital in central London in the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London,?https://www.kcl.ac.uk/bmeis?, working in close collaboration with researchers at the James Black Centre in the Denmark Hill Campus, where the experimental work will take place. There is a unique infrastructure to support cutting-edge translational healthcare research, including a suite of clinical MRI scanners located in a hospital environment (0.55T, 1.5T, 3T and 7T), a 9.4T preclinical MRI scanner, access to a specialized Liver Biobank, state-of-the-art laboratories, high-performance computing, and industry collaboration through the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join Dr Andrada Ianus at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, King’s College London, working in close collaboration with Dr. Po-Wah So at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. You will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team with access to cutting-edge imaging facilities and world-renowned expertise. You will work on an ERC Starting Grant funded project to deliver novel MRI approaches to image the liver and enable the detection and characterisation of micrometastases.

The overarching aim of this project is to enable the detection and mapping of liver micrometastases development in cancer, based on a novel MRI approach which combines multi-dimensional diffusion-relaxometry acquisitions, efficient data denoising and biophysical modelling of the tissue microstructure.

In this position, you will work on developing advanced preclinical MRI techniques and you will employ them for 1) in-vivo mouse liver imaging, both for normal controls and in models of liver metastases and 2) ex-vivo MRI of human liver tissue specimens. You will be responsible for the sequence implementation, data acquisition and analysis, including biophysical models of liver tissue, as well as liaising with the Liver Biobank at King's College Hospital in the Denmark Hill for the work related to tissue samples. The experimental part of this work will be based at the James Black Centre in the Denmark Hill Campus.

The applicant should have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Medical Imaging, or a related area (or pending results). They should have good analytical and programming skills, in depth knowledge of MR theory, and experience with the acquisition and analysis of (preclinical) MRI data, as well as with mathematical modelling and image processing methods.

Experience with preclinical rodent MRI, methods used for quantitative MRI, and/or pulse sequence programming are a plus. Ideally, applicants will have a proven research track record through peer review publications and conference presentations. They will also have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills and a creative approach to problem solving, together with the ability to work constructively and effectively within the team.

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 3 years.

Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
