Instituto Superior Universitario Nim Ya Lukeni was formed in 2021 and was named after the first king of the historic Kingdom of Kongo. It is located in Sayo, a city in the far north of Angola, on the banks of the River Congo.
The university offers four-year degree courses in agricultural engineering, commercial management and marketing, financial management and accounting, computer and multimedia education and hotels and tourism, which is designed to supply qualified staff for one of Angola’s fastest-growing industries.
Since 2023 there has been an emphasis on enterprise education.
Extension courses are offered in accountancy, financial management, cash operations, human resources, and digital marketing. Plans are underway for the provision of a postgraduate degree in economics offered in partnership with the Universidade 11 de Noviembre.
