Founded as a university in 1999, FSG University Center offers undergraduate, postgraduate and extension courses via classes delivered on-site or remotely. FSG has a strong focus on employability. 

In 2018, it became part of Cruzeiro do Sul Educacional (Southern Cross Educational Group), one of Brazil’s largest education groups, which comprises 12 institutions of higher education and four of basic education.

FSG itself has two campuses, the main one in Caxias do Sul and another in Bento Gon?alves, in Brazil’s most southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. 

It offers undergraduate courses in subjects including graphic design, architecture and urbanism, fashion design, visual arts, product design, advertising, marketing, journalism, law, international relations, criminology, political science, psychology, education, history, chemistry, biology, engineering, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, gastronomy, accountancy, business administration, management, economic sciences, logistics, tourism management, hospitality management, veterinary medicine, dentistry, biomedicine, pharmacy, speech therapy, radiology, medicine, and social work. 

There are several postgraduate courses available, including MBAs. Students can apply for a variety of scholarship and discounts.
