The College of New Jersey is a selective public higher level institution established in 1855 in New Jersey, US.

Its courses are organised into seven schools—Arts & Communication; Business; Humanities & Social Sciences; Education; Science; Nursing, Health, & Exercise Science; and Engineering. Alongside the self-designed major, the schools offer degrees such as art education, art history, communication studies, journalism, music, accountancy, business administration, education, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, African-American studies, criminology, international studies, nursing, public health and computer science.

Most of the college's students come from New Jersey.

For students interested in athletics, they can join the baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, wrestling, softball, lacrosse or field hockey teams. Beyond sports, there are 150 student groups to join to pursue their interests and find like-minded people.

The 289 tree-lined acre-campus is located in suburban Ewing Township. It houses laboratories for nursing, microscopy, science, and technology; a music building with a 300 people capacity concert hall; and a recreation and athletic facilities complex.

Some outstanding alumni are playwright and screenwriter Sheila Callaghan, David L. Richards - Professor of Political Science and Human Rights at the University of Connecticut, James Florio - the 49th Governor of New Jersey, Holly Black - children’s fantasy author, Madaline A. Williams, the first African American woman member of the New Jersey Legislature, Melanie Balcomb, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Vanderbilt University and Gene Hart, Hockey Hall of Fame broadcaster.
