Articles?published by THE are intended to reflect the experience and expertise of their identified authors. As such,?THE does not encourage the use of AI in article preparation and does not accept any article that is significantly written by AI and/or conveys a false impression of the author’s own experience, expertise or opinion.?

We ask that any use of AI in the drafting of an article submitted for publication on any of our platforms be declared by authors, and the reason for its use explained to us. This is so that we can take an informed view on the extent and reason for its use prior to making a decision about publication.

This protocol stipulation is sound on the one hand, but also falls hopelessly short, in light of the great misunderstanding that exists re Ai, generally. Here too, Ai is seen as a villanous threat, and not as an almghty powerful tool to advance academic scholarship. The true value of Ai in all probalitiy is only truly perceived by the most advanced and most accredited scholars on earth today. And that's the real conundrum here. Ai's true power, so it seems, is only really appreciated and recognised by those (humans) truly dedicated to the production/transferance of (new) knowledge. If it is misunderstood, then scholarship is bound to collapse.
