This historic atlas is one of 30 that will be included in a digitisation project at the University of Bristol. Several hundred rare images documenting everything from human anatomy to a CIA record of Soviet military installations have been chosen for the project at Bristol's special collections library. When the project is completed later this year, the atlases will be made available to a wide audience.
