The Asia Pacific Management Centre in Singapore has hit on a novel way to recruit and retain students - offer them the chance to win a Mercedes-Benz.

Every student who enrols on a degree or higher degree course with the centre - including those franchised from the University of Hull, the National University of Ireland or one of five universities in the US and Australia - has the chance to win.

But students must remain on the course and ensure they pay their fees on time. Students who are on diploma programmes are not eligible unless they progress to a degree course. The prize draw will be made at the end of 2003.
