Oxford University has reiterated pledges to replace sports facilities under threat from its planned Pounds 20-million business school. Oxford's external affairs director said that the school, which would be built using a Pounds 20 million benefaction from Syrian-born businessman Wafic Said, would occupy only part of the staff club grounds, leaving a soccer field and tennis courts.
