Universities, firms and training organisations were this week invited to bid for a slice of a Pounds 5 million initiative aimed at supporting embryonic biotechnology firms. The Department of Trade and Industry-backed scheme will provide up to Pounds 500,000 to single organisations or consortia who can offer financial, commercial and technical management advice.
