Mansoura University?was formally established in 1972 following a presidential decree. Having been originally named "East Delta University,” it adopted the name Mansoura University a year later, in 1973. About the opportunity

Westmead Clinical School is a Clinical School of Sydney Medical School and a major contributor to the University's reputation and achievements in Medicine and Biosciences. It is located at Westmead Hospital (800 beds), the major Teaching Hospital in WSLHD (catchment population 1.2 million people). Westmead Hospital is part of the Westmead Health Precinct, one of the major biomedical Precincts in the Southern Hemisphere containing 3 hospitals (Westmead Public and Private and Westmead Children's), several research institutes (Westmead Institute of Medical Research, Children's Medical Research Institute, Institute of Chemical Pathology and Medical Research, Westmead Institute of Applied Research) and two universities (Sydney University and Western Sydney University).

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Rheumatology to contribute to the teaching and research in the Specialty of Rheumatology, Sydney Medical School. The position will be in the Rheumatology Department, Westmead Hospital and at Westmead Clinical School.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


	provide leadership in developing and maintaining a clinical, translational or basic science research program relevant to Rheumatology
	provide leadership in the development, implementation and promotion of clinical/education programs for MD students relating to Rheumatology
	provide clinical care as part of the healthcare team in the Specialty of Rheumatology, including actively contributing to Rheumatology Department activities, e.g. quality and safety and service improvement; and
	promote a culture that is collaborative, team-oriented and one that respects the skill sets and opinions of all staff.


About you


	have a PhD in a field relevant to Rheumatology
	registered as a medical practitioner in NSW with recognition by AHPRA as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent
	have an emerging national/international reputation and research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed international journals and success in obtaining research funding and supervision of research students
	have experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within Rheumatology
	have a network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the Specialty, Hospital/School/Faculty and University.

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic communicator with a passion for science communication and engagement. The research programme at the Department is expanding and we are looking for someone to lead on research communications and engagement across multiple new and existing studies. You will lead the development and delivery of external communications across the Department of Twin Research. The role will deliver inclusive strategies to engage underrepresented groups and enhance participant recruitment and experience, while also raising the profile of our resources, researchers and study findings with the public and scientific community.?

You will be a strong content creator with experience in multi-channel communication campaigns. You will design and deliver communications across?press, newsletters and websites to events, videos and social media. The post also involves developing clear participant communications, supporting recruitment and retention, and helping shape public engagement activities.?

A key part of the role will be working closely with our Volunteer Advisory Panel (VAP) and through patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) activity, ensuring participant voices are represented and help guide our engagement strategies.??

Alongside this, you’ll work with colleagues across King’s, NHS partners, advisory groups and community organisations to coordinate activities and build networks. You’ll also line manage the Communications and Engagement Officer and contribute to embedding good practice across the team.?

This is a full time maternity cover post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a ?fixed term? contract for 31 December 2026 or until the return of the substantive post holder.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

About the Role

As the Student Lifecycle Manager, you will lead and inspire the Student Lifecycle Services (SLS) team to deliver efficient, high-quality student administration services across all STEM programs, delivery modes and locations.
